This asynchronous learning experience is designed for educators who are brand new to Canvas or have limited experience using the platform. Participants will work at their own pace through the Canvas Foundations Course, engaging in a structured, self-guided pathway that builds confidence through short, manageable steps and hands-on practice. Participants will explore essential Canvas features including navigation, course design, content creation, and basic grading concepts. The learning experience emphasizes clear, student-centered design, effective communication with families, accessibility, and thoughtful integration that supports strong instructional practices.
While the course is self-paced, a facilitator will be available during the scheduled session time to answer questions and provide individualized support as needed, allowing participants to receive guidance while working through the content.
